What is HTML

HTML is a markup language that defines the structure of your content. HTML consists of a series of elements, which you use to enclose, or wrap, different parts of the content to make it appear a certain way, or act a certain way.

• In 1989,  Tim Berners-Lee invented the Web with HTML as its publishing language. The language has evolved from its version 1.0 with limited tags and capabilities to now HTML5 which has more capabilities that we will discuss later on.
